12 Year Old's  Generosity
Steven Anton has been a big supporter of Angels Above since he was very young.  Over the years he has donated the following items to the pediatric playrooms:  Gameboys, Playstation 2, Wii games, XBox 360 games,  a baseball signed by Jonathan Papelbon which was auctioned off at our yearly fundraiser, toys and cds.
Steven turned 12 on October 11th and asked his friends to make a donation to Angels Above in lieu of birthday gifts.  (Steven and his friends are pictured at a   Spinners game)
Thank you Steven for all you have done over the years for the children.  Sue is so proud of you!
 Life Is Good!
We want to thank the employees at Life Is Good in Hudson, NH for donating many Christmas gifts to the pediatric floors.
And a special thank you to Lyndsey Howe for personally donating 100 Life Is Good hats in memory of her friend Ali, who was featured in our November 2008  e-newsletter. (pictured with Santa is Nicole looking great in a Life Is Good hat!)
Thanks everyone!

Happy 2010!
Weren't we just celebrating the turn of the century?  When Sue and I look back over the past 10 years, we realize how many wonderful children and family members have touched our lives and enriched our souls.
We are truly grateful to all who have supported us and given us the means to continue to help the children.  We would not be able to put smiles on so many beautiful faces if it weren't for the generosity of all of you.
So here's to a wonderful new year.  May yours be filled with health, happiness and love.
Warmest Regards,
Mary Beth Brunelle
Addison's Birthday Celebration!
Addison Hunt celebrated her first birthday on November 7th.   For her birthday celebration, her parents expressed their wishes to have family and friends purchase new toys, games and crafts for pediatric patients at MassGeneral Hospital for Children in lieu of purchasing gifts for little Miss Addison.  With the new toys that were donated, we are able to bring endless smiles to many of our patients and families.
Over Thanksgiving, one smile had come from a little boy that was admitted for a stem cell transplant.  Child Life was able to decorate his room and have lots of new toys awaiting his arrival.  He and his family beamed with joy!
We are extremely touched by the generosity and cheerful spirit of the Hunt family and are very grateful that Addison shared her toys with our  patients.
Anthem gives to the Angels

The employees of Anthem Credentialing Services in Andover were very generous to Angels Above at Christmas by donating many gift cards for the children to enjoy.  During our parties at MGHfC throughout the year, the children can choose a gift card from our special gift card box, which they love to do!  And our box is now overflowing because of Anthem's kindness.
Pictured above are: Tracy Callagy, Glenn Godfrey, Rosanne Develis, Pam Belanger, Jean Danish, Linda Prime, Brenda Clough, Dawna Ursillo, Yoraider Castillo, Rosa Castillo, Paul McNeil, Linda McCarthy, Linda Bucci, Olga Lugo, Cheatra Chum, Frank Garcia, Carmen Villa and Wendy Landers.

Thank you Anthem employees for making a child's hospital stay a little bit brighter!
  Twilight Affair Raises $18,500.00
Our 8th annual Twilight Affair and Silent Auction, held on November 5th at Harris' Pelham Inn, was a huge success.  Guests enjoyed a slide show of the children, live entertainment by SoulForce V, ornaments painted by the children, a balloon raffle and a delicious turkey dinner.  Our silent auction was a  hit with many and featured tickets to Red Sox/Bruins/Celtics games,  a football signed by Tom Brady, a jersey signed by David Ortiz, ski passes, theatre tickets, Boston hotel getaways, jewelry, handmade quilts, and much more.
We were thrilled to have several patients, Pat and Erik, and their families attend (pictured above is Pat and his mom, Kathy).
For all who attended, many, many thanks for your support.  We are most grateful for your generosity shown that evening.
We hope to see you at our next Twilight Affair on November 4th!
The Keiley's Sponsor a Party
In lieu of Christmas gifts for their family,
John, Tina and Annamae Keiley of Dracut decided they wanted to be a sponsor at our holiday party held on December 17th.  Not only did they make a very generous donation to Angels Above, but they also donated a gift basket of crafts for the playrooms, which Annamae helped pick out!  (pictured above are Tina and Annamae)
Thank you Keiley family for your kindness and generosity!
Santa and Mrs. Claus  Spread Holiday Cheer!
Holiday cheer was certainly being spread on December 17th at MGHfC.  Santa and Mrs. Claus made a special visit with the children and were very busy handing out personalized gifts such as
Netflix subscriptions, customized Patriots clothing,
Vera Bradley items, Visa gift cards, lego sets and many, many toys.
The children also had their picture taken with Santa as a keepsake of the day.  (pictured above is April receiving her gifts from Santa and Mrs. Claus). Please visit our website to view other photos from the party.  To add to the festivities, a special catered lunch was provided for the children and their families.
Thank you Santa and Mrs. Claus for spreading so much cheer on the pediatric floors!
Until next time....
Be well, enjoy each day, and keep smiling!!
